The Alpina Gstaad appoints Executive Chef and Executive Assistant Manager of F&B

The Alpina Gstaad has announced the appointments of Marcus G. Lindner as Executive Chef and Martin Hohn as Executive Assistant Manager of Food and Beverage.
For the past six years, celebrated chef, Marcus G. Lindner has inspired Zurich's gourmet scene as the Executive Chef at Mesa and is acknowledged as being one of the best chefs of the Limmat city. In 2010, he was voted "Up and Coming Chef of the Year" and awarded with 18 Gault Millau points and two Michelin stars.

Many gourmet critics describe Lindner as a 'magician of flavours' and a 'daredevil'. However, Lindner prefers to see himself as a craftsman. "My life is the stove", says Lindner. "I provide a service to guests and strive to serve them the best dishes that I can on a daily basis."

Martin Hohn has 16-years experience in the international hospitality industry and has held executive posts and food and beverage manager positions with luxury hotel companies in Switzerland, Belgium, Spain, South Africa and Thailand. Martin received his early training in Switzerland and spent six years in Thailand as Area Executive Assistant Manager supervising two luxury properties of KC Hotels & Resorts and Executive Assistant Manager, Operations at the five-star Infinity Lifestyle Destination. Both Switzerland and Thailand are renowned for their hospitality and cuisine.

Commenting on his appointment, Martin said, "I am thrilled to be directing the food and beverage experience for The Alpina Gstaad. My hospitality schooling began in Switzerland, and of course, I am happy to be back. We have three exceptional restaurants, and we believe each will set a new level of distinction for Switzerland" he explained.
