Glenda Carlyle will lead the enhanced team in the newly appointed role of Senior Sales Manager, Corporate Sales. Her role will be to further increase revenue to the SECC from the corporate meetings sector, targeting large, prestigious brands as well as the local Scottish corporate market.
Glenda is joined by Emma Richards, the SECC’s recently appointed Sales Manager, Corporate Sales. Emma’s career spans a number of high profile venues including 200 St Vincent Street, Glasgow, Malmaison and Hotel Du Vin.
The three-strong Corporate Sales team is completed by long-standing member Sarah Kergon, Account Manager, Corporate Sales, who brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to developing both new and existing clients.
Conference Sales will be supported by Eilidh Hughes who joins the overall SECC conference team of ten people as Sales Research Executive, following roles at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow and Glasgow 2014.

In 2015/16 the SECC enjoyed its strongest year to date for conference and corporate events business, including an 18 percent increase in turnover and an increase of 20% in gross profit on 2014/15. The venue hosted a total of 55 events during 2015/16, including 25 from the corporate sector.
