Sarah Clark, a Sussex local, is joining the team at Ashdown Park following her introduction to hospitality at the Felbridge Hotel & Spa near East Grinstead where she had worked in several sales, events and marketing roles since 2009.
Sarah recently completed a degree in fashion, media and promotion through Brighton University, which she studied for while continuing to work. She also completed an internship with the John Lewis fashion and beauty marketing team, one of the highlights of which was working with the Christmas advertising team on the 2015 ‘Man on the Moon’ TV advert.
With her degree covering all aspects of PR, journalism, design and marketing, Sarah is bringing a unique set of skills to Ashdown Park Hotel’s marketing team.
Speaking after her appointment, Sarah said: “My degree and my experience in fashion, including my time at John Lewis, has taught me how to spot upcoming trends in advance, which will give us a big advantage in marketing Ashdown Park and positioning it as one of the leading luxury hotels in the South East.
“Once you get a taste of working in hospitality there’s just something about it that draws you in. The opportunity to join the team at Ashdown Park was one I couldn’t turn down – it’s a beautiful venue but also a challenge as it’s a completely different calibre to anywhere I’ve worked before. Everyone has been really friendly and welcoming and I can’t wait to get stuck into the job.”
As well as co-ordinating the marketing and PR for Ashdown Park, Sarah will be supporting the marketing team for the Elite Hotel Group, which owns and operates Ashdown Park as well as three other luxury hotels; The Grand Hotel in Eastbourne, Tylney Hall Hotel in Hampshire and Luton Hoo Hotel in Bedfordshire.
General manager of Ashdown Park Hotel Ben Booker added: “We’re delighted to welcome Sarah to the team at Ashdown Park. She has already injected huge enthusiasm and a fresh approach to the marketing department and the hotel will benefit greatly from her experience and expertise.”
