Changes to management in East Midlands, Sheffield, Southampton and DerbyJurys Inn Hotel Group has announced today a number of appointments to General Manager positions across five of their UK based hotels.
David Livingstone, previously of Jurys Inn Sheffield, has been appointed General Manager of Jurys Inn East Midlands Airport. The hotel, conveniently located a short distance from the airport terminal, is currently undergoing a £3.5 million refurbishment program to transform the hotel.
After a number of years of successfully running Jurys Inn Sheffield, Livingstone will be bringing his expertise to the East Midlands Airport hotel; helping to guide the refurbishment to completion and focusing on developing the Jurys Inn brand.
Georgina Wylie will be stepping into the role of General Manager of Jurys Inn Sheffield in December. Wylie has worked at the hotel previously as Deputy General Manager and before that spent five years as Head of Department for Mercure. Most recently she served as General Manager at Jurys Inn Leeds. Georgina is passionate about the hospitality industry and brings a wealth of experience to her new role at this busy, city-centre hotel.
Helen Caters has assumed the role of General Manager at Jurys Inn Southampton effective immediately. Caters will be responsible for managing the 270 bedroom hotel through a £1.75 million refurbishment program that is well underway. . Once complete, the hotel will boast nine revamped meeting rooms and 18 executive bedrooms. A hospitality industry veteran, Caters has previously worked at Hastings Culloden Estate and Spa and Malmaison in Liverpool.
Michael Skehan has stepped into the General Manage role at Jurys Inn Cardiff. For the past five years, Michael has held the position of General Manager of the Leopold Hotel in Sheffield and brings a fresh perspective and expertise to the team at Jurys Inn Cardiff.
Finally, Faycal Bennani will be joining the Jurys Inn team from the Hampton by Hilton Waterloo and taking over as Interim General Manager of Jurys Inn Derby. Bennani brings with him extensive experience from previous roles at IHG and Accor, along with a knowledge of the Derby market from his time as General Manager of the Hampton by Hilton Derby City Centre. Bennani will officially step into the role on September 6th.
