InterContinental London – The O2 announces senior appointments

The InterContinental London – The O2, managed and operated by the Arora Group, has enhanced its senior team with two newly created operational roles. Tim Reynolds will take on the role of Director of Operations - F&B and Heather Hamilton joins the team as Director of Operations - Rooms.

Tim joins from Sofitel London Gatwick, also part of the Arora Group portfolio; where most recently he held the position of Acting General Manager, previously having been Hotel Manager, since August 2014.  

Prior to joining Sofitel London Gatwick, Tim held a number of roles with Guoman Thistle Hotels, including Operations Manager at the Royal Trafalgar by Thistle and Thistle Piccadilly and Front of House Manager at Thistle Euston and The Kingsley by Thistle. Prior to that Tim was Operations Manager at Oddfellows, a 5 star luxury boutique hotel in Chester.    

Heather joins from the Park Plaza Group where she held a number of roles across the portfolio including Opening General Manager, Front of House Manager and Interim General Manager. Heather started her career with various roles at Redefine BDL Hotels.  

Tim comments: “It’s an exciting time to join the InterContinental London – The O2 team in this pivotal first year. I’m looking forward to bringing my skills to bear as I lead the team in the continuing evolution of our high quality drinking and dining offer. We have exciting plans afoot across the hotel’s F&B portfolio as we look to enhance our offer and create innovative partnerships to continue providing guests with the luxury experience synonymous with such a high profile brand.”  

Commenting on her appointment, Heather said: “I’m delighted to join such prestigious company as part of the team at InterContinental London – The O2. My experience stands me in good stead as I work with the team to cement the excellent work they’ve done since opening and ensure they are in the best possible position to capitalise on the success they have enjoyed to date.”  

Vincent Madden, Director of Operations at Arora Hotels, a division of the Arora Group, commented on the appointment: “I am delighted to announce Tim’s move from Sofitel London Gatwick to InterContinental London – The O2. The InterContinental London – The O2 boasts 453 guest rooms, a luxury Spa with 17m pool and eight treatment rooms as well as a collection of London’s finest destination restaurants and bars, including The Peninsula fine dining restaurant, informal open-kitchen Market Brasserie, the Clipper Bar, rooftop sky bar Eighteen and ground floor Meridian Lounge with riverside terrace.
