Forrest will be returning to Blue Waters having served as General Manager of the resort from 2008-2012. During this time Forrest guided and developed the resort through a difficult recessionary trading period and oversaw and supervised a refurbishment programme including the introduction of the new luxury villas.
Forrest has extensive knowledge of Antigua in particular, having been the opening General Manager of the award winning Carlisle Bay, St James’s Club and Rex Halcyon Cove.
A Member of the Institute of Hospitality, Forrest has travelled the globe, filling the role as a General Manager as well as working on freelance hospitality projects. He has been General Manager to many leading hotels and resorts such as Ana Mandara Resort, Vietnam, Soneva Fushi Resort, Maldives, Banyan Tree, Seychelles and Six Senses, Bangkok.
Prior to his current position at Blue Waters, Forrest held the position as General Manager of Nisbet Plantation, Nevis W.I. During Alistair’s time, the hotel received an AAA 4 diamond award for both the hotel and Great House Restaurant in 2014 and 2015. The hotel was also included in the Conde Nast Gold List 2014, Top Ten Caribbean Hotels and was placed No.3 in Travel and Leisure’s Top Hotels in Caribbean 2014.
Forrest will work closely with all departments at Blue Waters, in particular this year overseeing renovations to Bartley’s Restaurant, the reception at the Pelican Bar as well as many further improvements around the resort.
