Samantha’s career in conferencing started at the tender age of 16, working at Thorpe Park Hotel and Spa in Leeds in the restaurant before moving on to host weddings which is where her love for events began.
On completion of her degree, Samantha was promoted to Senior Conference Co-ordinator at Thorpe Park Hotel and Spa, having previously dabbled in front of house reservations. However, her experience isn’t tied solely to the hotel industry, honing her skills at the Rugby Football League’s annual Dacia Magic Weekend and as a freelance Wedding Co-ordinator also.
Clare Vidler, Conference Manager for Well Met, Leeds Beckett University’s conferencing office commented: “Following my own appointment earlier in the year, I was keen to continue to grow the team as our conference office moves into an exciting new phase of its development. As Leeds becomes a more desirable destination for bookers and delegates, it’s really key that our team is dedicated and passionate about what we can offer at Well Met. Samantha’s previous experience and enthusiasm for the University will be a real asset to the team as we develop further.”
Well Met Conferencing manages a wide range of venues and spaces as well as providing experienced delegate and event management services. Well Met’s portfolio ranges from urban and parkland venues including the Rose Bowl, James Graham, Carnegie Village and The Vault which collectively provide the perfect destination for residential conferences, training, meetings and exhibitions to group travel, association events, dinners, filming, corporate away days and team building events.
