From live band performance to event production and technology - sound and vision have been a constant and a passion in the life of Michael Duckworth.
Now as AV & Production Services Manager for BCEC, Michael says his focus is on creating the very best technology experience for delegates and guests.
“Delivering new technology and creative engagement for visitors is high on the agenda for myself and my team. Our focus is on innovation and presenting our clients with seamless solutions that amplify the customer experience at the BCEC.”
Along with a strong commitment to enhance customer experience, Michael and his team continue to build upon the Centre’s significant inventory of equipment. BCEC already operates the largest in-house portfolio of projection systems in Australia which include four blend screens and is the only convention centre in the country with a 27 metre curved panorama blend screen, providing a fully immersive visual experience.
Prior to his appointment, Michael was AV Sales Manager at BCEC working closely with clients providing advice on event concepts and technical support throughout the sales process and will continue that involvement with clients at a face to face level.
Michael also spent three years in charge of the Audio Visual Department at Darwin Convention Centre.
As a touring musician including a support act slot with Mariah Carey, Michael knows the importance of delivering memorable experiences, something he says he is determined to achieve in his new role.
