Before moving into this new role, Wood held the position of Resort Communications Manager at Butlin’s, which she joined with more than five years’ experience in events, marketing and communications.
Prior to this, Wood was Production Coordinator at Vivid Broadcast where she was involved in the planning and execution of a number of esteemed events including Glastonbury, the Liberal Democrats 2013 party conference and Ford Kuga Live. She was also involved with the launch of ‘Prestige’, the super yacht filming specialists, and was responsible for event logistics, account management and marketing.
As Conference & Events Manager, Wood will be responsible for implementing and overseeing all conferences, seminars and events for external clients, including the development, production and delivery of projects. Her role will be pivotal in further positioning Butlin’s Bognor Regis as a trusted conference and events venue that offers delegates an exciting and unusual alternative to traditional event spaces within the UK MICE market.
This appointment is just one in a series as the Butlin’s Conference & Events team grows in tandem with its success. Over the past six months alone, the team has expanded with the appointment of Emma Lee, PR & Communications Manager; Melissa Fernandes, Sales Executive; Clare Caswell, Conference & Events Coordinator; Georgina Studt, Conference & Events Administrator and Reanne Rose, Sales Executive.
These appointments follow the impressive 19% growth in 2015, which included high profile events for a number of new clients including global beauty brand, Elizabeth Arden and world renowned automotive manufacturer, Rolls Royce. This year, new venue options such as the innovative M3 Airdomes and the introduction of the new Seaside Apartments at Bognor Regis and Minehead resorts will undoubtedly see Butlin’s success and growth continue.
