Marcus began his career with Hyatt in September 1997 as Chef de Cuisine at the Hyatt Regency Cologne. He then accepted positions in Perth and Delhi before his promotion to Executive Chef at Grand Hyatt Hong Kong in October 2008. With his multicultural culinary experiences and his passion, Marcus is committed to enhancing the Grand Hyatt experience with his caring approach and guest-orientated initiatives.
“My culinary career began in Germany in a humble restaurant, where I was fortunate to learn the foundations of my profession that lead to my leading one of the most talented and successful culinary teams at Grand Hyatt,” said Marcus. “I feel very honoured to have had the chance to manage and guide such a dedicated, smooth-working team for the last seven and a half years and thank everyone for their tremendous support. I am delighted to have the opportunity to take on this exciting new role and look forward to contributing to the success of Grand Hyatt Hong Kong.”
Before joining Hyatt, Marcus worked in various Michelin-star restaurants in London and the renowned Victorian Restaurant in Dusseldorf.
As Director of Food and Beverage, Marcus will lead a professional team and continue to create memorable culinary experiences for international business and leisure guests.
