JW Marriott Venice Resort & Spa appoints Enrique Tasende as General Manager

JW Marriott Venice Resort & Spa
JW Marriott Venice Resort & Spa has appointed Enrique Tasende as its General Manager. Mr. Tasende, who has worked for the Marriott brand for nearly 15 years, brings with him a wealth of experience in delivering outstanding customer service and unprecedented revenue increases.

Throughout his successful career Mr. Tasende has been continually committed to excellent operational management – increasing profit margins and overall satisfaction rates at each of his resorts. His superior leadership skills and the record-breaking results he has achieved in each position have been recognised with a number of awards (both personal and for the resorts), including the General Manager Financial Excellence Award (CALA Region 2013), the Hotel of the Year Award (CALA Region 2014) and the Mustang Award for Innovation (CALA Region 2014).

Mr. Tasende said: “My hotel management philosophy is simple: begin and end with the guests’ experience. I encourage my team to go into work each day with that perspective at the forefront of their minds and to ensure that each guest’s time with us is unique and memorable. This means staying current with industry trends; it means believing that an incredible culinary experience is a vital aspect of the guest journey; it means trusting and encouraging ‘out of the box’ thinking and innovation. Finally, it means acknowledging the valuable lessons that can be taken even from those outside of the hospitality industry.”

His exceptional track record and comprehensive training make Mr. Tasende the ideal candidate to continue the success of JW Marriott Venice Resort & Spa into its second year and beyond.

Mr. Tasende concluded: “I am sincerely looking forward to taking JW Marriott Venice Resort & Spa to the next level – to making it a culinary destination in its own right, to involving the local community and to helping it become an iconic hotel in Venice.”
