BOB.tv names Heidi A. Voorhees, MBA, CAE as its next CEO

bXb Online, LLC, creator of BOB.tv – Best of Business, has announced that its Board of Directors has appointed Heidi A. Voorhees as Chief Executive Officer effective January 25, 2016. Voorhees was also elected to the Board of Directors of bXb Online, effective February 28, 2016.

Tony Lorenz, Co-Founder and CEO will continue to serve as a primary shareholder, member of the Executive Committee of the bXb Board, and Strategic Advisor to the company as he takes the role of CEO of industry-leading firm, AlliedPRA.

Lorenz, stated, “Heidi is a highly respected association executive. We met during my time at Freeman years ago, and I have been trying to identify a way to work closely with her ever since. Heidi had an advisory role at the launch of BOB.tv, and was instrumental in ensuring that we designed the platform to meet the needs of the association market and, most importantly, the members and customers whom associations serve. She fully understands the strengths and challenges increasingly faced by associations, in the area of content especially. She is smart, disciplined, motivating, and about to make an extraordinary impact on the business we have carefully crafted over these last few years. I am so proud to have her take the helm at BOB.tv, as I move into my next adventure in the industry in which I have spent my entire career.“

Lorenz continued, “Today’s pace of change is exponential. Associations are navigating disruptive markets, and BOB.tv’s role in their digital transformation has never been more important. Voorhees began her professional career at SmithBucklin, the world’s largest association management firm, moving into increasingly responsible executive positions in associations, culminating in her role as VP, Strategic Initiatives at Institute of Food Technologists. Heidi then spent two years as SVP of industry leading solutions provider, Experient, where she held a wide range of responsibilities in the strategic direction and management of Experient’s most significant client relationships.
