Ellard-King started his career after graduating in 2012 from Southampton University with a BA in Music. He quickly took up event consultancy, with his role at the world renowned music venue Ronnie Scotts. From his consultancy role he moved into event management at Orange Rooms and Junk Southampton, before moving into advertising and his recent position at London Union.
Ellard-King’s appointment follows Emma Howe joining London Union in November as Sales Director as the pioneering brand famed for turning underused and neglected spaces in London into vibrant street food markets continues to expand its events offering. Over the last three years, Street Feast has transformed warehouses, former carparks and abandoned office blocks, with a range of new markets being planned for 2016. London Union currently has two venues open for autumn/winter, Dinerama and Hawker House. Both venues have seen a surge in enquiries over the winter months from companies looking for alternative venues to bring their events to life. Alongside the uniqueness of London Union venues, bookers also have the added experience of using the street food traders to create bespoke menus.
Emma Howe, Sales Director commented; ‘’Sammie is a welcome addition to the London Union team as we continue to grow in 2016. He brings with him a wealth of experience from a range of events roles and I’m looking forward to working with him to create unique events for our clients this year’’.
Sammie Ellard-King added; ‘’I am thrilled to have joined the London Union events team. London Union are challenging traditional event spaces, not just aesthetically but also with their locations. They create truly bespoke menus from some of London’s most loved eateries and support the up-and-coming’’.
