Rose, who studied Events Management at the University of Greenwich, joined the Historic Royal Palaces team in May 2013, progressing to Events Executive at Banqueting House in 2014. In her new role, Rose will be responsible for leading the sales team to achieve targets and delivering and managing world-class events, line managing the Events Coordinator and supporting the Banqueting House Manager.
Rose says: “I have thoroughly enjoyed my two and a half years working within the Historic Royal Palaces team and am delighted to take on the role of Senior Events Executive at Banqueting House. I have been fortunate to work on some fantastic events including the Banqueting House Wedding Fair and London & Partners promo dinner and look forward to working on many more in the future.”
Jennifer Lockham, Banqueting House Manager, adds: “A key ethos of Historic Royal Palaces is to develop our team members and we are delighted when we are able to promote them to positions of greater responsibility. Rose has been an asset to the team since joining in 2013 and has immersed herself in the very essence of Banqueting House, building strong relationships with clients and suppliers to ensure the very best events take place at the venue.
“Rose is well-versed in being able to deal with the strict conservation sensitivities we face to ensure the venue is sufficiently protected, while producing show-stopping events for our clients.”
Banqueting House is currently closed for essential restoration work. Historic Royal Palaces receives no Government or Crown funding, so all income to fund restoration work is raised from a range of activities including ticket sales, retail and catering, membership, sponsorship, donations, as well as functions and events.
Banqueting House will re-open in April 2016.
