New General Manager at Center Parcs Woburn Forest

Rebecca Wileman
Center Parcs Woburn Forest in Bedfordshire has welcomed in the New Year with a new appointment to the management team. Rebecca Wileman, previously Deputy General Manager for Woburn Forest, will be stepping up to take the role of General Manager, effective immediately.

After more than two years as General Manager for Woburn Forest, Wayne Matton has decided to retire from Center Parcs after 14 successful years with the business.

Rebecca has held the role of Deputy General Manager since 2013. In addition to her two years of experience at Woburn Forest, she holds nine years of experience as a Leisure Manager at Whinfell Forest and held the role of Operations Manager for Nottingham City Council for 13 years prior to joining Center Parcs.

In her new role, Rebecca will oversee the running of the Village, as well as the new projects at Woburn Forest, which include the development of the Outdoor Activities programme, the introduction of a new Indoor Climbing Adventure, further care and enhancement of the forest and more accommodation being added.

She says: “I am really looking forward to the new and exciting challenges that being a General Manager will bring. I have been here since the beginning of construction so seeing the Village develop further as time goes on is very special. While the facilities we offer are of fantastic quality, it is the experience we offer that is so unique and valuable to people. I feel honoured and proud to be the new General Manager. It’s an absolute privilege to be part of what is already an amazing Center Parcs success story!”

Woburn Forest’s The Venue offers theatre-style seating for up to 500 delegates, and comprises eight individual and flexible event suites with full vehicle access, a business centre with free Wi-Fi, complimentary car parking, 675 forest lodges and a 75 bedroom luxury hotel.
