Freya joins the world’s number one music and entertainment venue after an 18-month stint as events assistant for the British Association of Urological Surgeons where she worked on events including the World Congress of Endourology at Excel London for 2,000 delegates.
She also has key experience in a venue setting following an internship with the corporate events team at Somerset House, working directly on live events in the arts and cultural sector.
In her role as event sales coordinator at The O2, Freya will be responsible for responding to all incoming sales enquiries for Building Six, as well as The O2 arena, American Express Invites Lounge, Green Room, The Piazza and The Quadrant. Alongside this, she will manage and develop existing accounts within the client base.
Freya will report directly to business development manager Becci Thomson, who says: “We are thrilled to welcome Freya to the team as we continue to spread the word among the corporate sector about The O2’s capabilities for hosting all kinds of conferences and events. Freya’s background working on large events will be a huge asset to the team as we look ahead to a busy year of corporate events in 2016.”
On her appointment, Freya says: “I am excited to take up my role as event sales coordinator at The O2. The O2 is one of London’s most iconic venues, but it also has an incredibly diverse range of spaces that can be used to host any type of corporate event. I am looking forward to helping the team continue to promote the venue to the corporate sector both in the UK and internationally.”
