The Appointment Group announces the start of a global events division in New York

The Appointment Group continues to expand its global event offering to its international client base

Continuing its growth in North America, The Appointment Group has appointed Simone Bresi-Ando as Senior Event Planner to create and grow the company’s US global events division, based in New York. The New York office currently serves the US corporate and entertainment market.

Simone joins the company with a breadth of events experience gained over 12 years, with a variety of high profile brands such as Sony Ericsson, the Southbank Centre, London 2012 Olympics, Royal African Society and the MOBO Awards to name a few. At Sony Ericsson, she was responsible for their $88 million global sponsorship property of women’s tennis and activated the tier one tournaments in the US, Europe and Middle East. Her most notable work here was two high profile, Miami based events in 2009, ‘Traffic Tennis’ with Andy Murray and Venus Williams and in 2010, ‘Glam.Set.Match’ with Mel B, Jay Sean, Ana Ivanovic and Novak Djokovic which gained worldwide buzz and featured in a host of publications.

The company opened an office in Atlanta in January this year which takes the total of North American offices to three. The latest opening will focus on events and providing travel to business and production companies, which is proving to be an underserved market.

The Appointment Group was founded in 1988 and opened its first international offering in New York in 2002, the Los Angeles office followed, opening in 2008. It currently has Global Events team based in London, Manchester, Sydney and Melbourne.
