Before joining the Butlin’s team, Melissa held the role of Senior Sales Event & Account Manager at Chillisauce Events, where she worked on over 360 different products for a broad range of events including corporate events and parties as well as team building days.
Her determination and skills led her to a number of successes including consistently exceeding her target by an astonishing 74% on average each month and being awarded ‘Employee of the Year’ in 2014. Having worked in this role for nearly two years, and having gained international work experience in New Zealand, Melissa brings with her a wealth of knowledge and experience in events and team management, relationship management, customer services, and sales techniques.
As Sales Executive, Melissa will be responsible for positioning Butlin’s as a trusted conference and events venue within the UK MICE market and looking after all enquiries, proposals and contracting client enquiries as well as actively seeking new business opportunities and supporting Simon Jones, National Sales Manager and Kelley McGann, Marketing Manager.
The arrival of Melissa Fernandes as Sales Executive is another appointment in a series as the Butlin’s Conference & Events team grows along with its success. Butlin’s reported an impressive 19% growth overall last year, which included high profile events for a number of new clients including global beauty brand, Elizabeth Arden, high-street favourite, New Look and world renowned automotive manufacturer, Rolls Royce.
