Jean Crisp joins the award-winning travel management firm as general manager with over 20 years’ experience working in customer-focussed service development roles. Having worked across a number of sectors, her career has seen her lead senior operational and strategic management teams at globally-recognised companies which have included Alliance & Leicester, Co-operative Food, Liverpool Football Club and the Shop Direct Group.
Joining Diversity Travel in a newly created position to ensure the company continues to maximise service levels and optimises the customer experience, Jean will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the firm’s Reservations, Ticketing, Fares, Visa, Quality & Training and Rail Teams.
Diversity Travel offers tailored travel management services to over 2,000 clients in the charity, academic and not-for-profit sector including Save the Children International, Marie Stopes International and ActionAid. The company has experienced steady year-on-year growth since forming in 2007.
Christopher Airey, managing director of Diversity Travel, said: “With experience which spans across Premier League football to financial services as well as travel, Jean is the clear fit for this new role. Our customer service offering is commended by those that use it but we want to ensure that as we grow as a company, so too does our service and Jean has exceptionally strong skills in this area.
“Jean will work closely with all departments to monitor quality standards and drive continuous improvement by developing key areas of Diversity Travel’s commercial focus, business strategy and implementation. We’re very excited to have her on board as her support will allow us to go even further to make sure our clients receive a high-quality bespoke service.”
The news of Jean’s appointment follows a number of new hires at Diversity Travel since the start of the year. Diversity Travel recently announced the appointment of Sean de Lacey as head of sales who joined from travel management firm CTM and former Radius Travel employee Stephen Brook as head of account management. Further hires will be announced later in the year.
