Leading hotel management company unveils trio of senior appointments

Redefine|BDL Hotels has announced three significant new appointments across its UK-wide operations.  
UK’s largest independent hotel management company has appointed Stephen Harron as Divisional Director.  
Stephen, who has held general manager and cluster GM posts with InterContinental Hotels Group and QMH in Gloucester, Maidenhead, Reading and Watford, will be responsible for 11 hotels of mixed brands including Starwood, Marriott, Best Western, Ramada Encore and ibis Styles, in various locations around the UK.


He said: “Having worked at some fantastic hotels over the past two decades, I am looking forward to bringing all of my experience to bear as Divisional Director.  

“Looking after 11 hotels across the country will be a real challenge, but one that I feel more than equal to.”  

Lara Beechey brings a wealth of experience to her new role as General Manager of Holiday Inn London – Bloomsbury.  

Her CV lists a number of senior roles at Holiday Inn hotels in Mayfair, Bristol, Reading and Eastleigh, as well as Crowne Plaza Heathrow Airport, over the past 17 years.  

Prior to being appointed General Manager at Holiday Inn London – Bloomsbury, Lara held the post of South West and Wales Cluster General Manager for Intercontinental Hotels Group.  

She will be responsible for ensuring the best possible experience for guests at the hotel, while driving revenue generation and building a team of accomplished employees.  

Lara, who took up the post in May, said: “Having worked in a wide range of hotels, the chance to oversee operations in such a high quality location in central London is a challenge I’m relishing.  

“Our guests expect a high level of service and a top quality experience, and making this happen will be at the forefront of my mind at all times.”  

A few miles across London, Mark Ind has been appointed General Manager of Holiday Inn London – Mayfair.  

Mark, an experienced hospitality professional who has managed Holiday Inn hotels in Southampton, Farnborough and Reading, took up the post last month.  

Mark is looking forward to rising to the challenge of managing one of London’s busiest hotels.  

He said: “I have inherited a very well run hotel with a great team of people. 
“For a lot of people in the hospitality industry, working in London is a dream. So it is wonderful to be given this opportunity to run a hotel in such a great location.”
