Eugene Leonard joins the Connaught from Claridge’s where he held the position as Director of Food & Beverage since 2011. Prior to joining Claridge’s, Eugene Leonard was Director of Events for the Maybourne Hotel Group, overseeing sales and operations for the Berkeley, the Connaught and Claridge’s.
Leonard’s first position for the Maybourne Hotel Group was in 2008, where he was Head of Events at the Berkeley hotel in Knightsbridge.
As Hotel Operations Manager at the Connaught, Eugene Leonard will be overlooking the day-to-day operations of the hotel with responsibility of both room operations and food and beverage. Born in Ireland, Leonard received his International Diploma in Hotel Management at Shannon’s College of Hotel Management in Ireland.
Leonard started his career in hotels in Ireland nearly 20 years ago. Followed by a few years in Zurich, Switzerland, Leonard moved to London where he climbed the ranks through a range of divisions and operations starting at the Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park. Leonard brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the position.
