Family Coppola Resorts names Myriam Kournaf as Managing Director

Myriam Kournaf
The Family Coppola Resorts has announced Myriam Kournaf as the new Managing Director of its luxury hotel group. Myriam brings to the Coppola Resorts more than 15 years of experience in the luxury hotel industry. She began her career at the Four Seasons in Atlanta. At Le Meridien (Starwood), she served as Director of Sales & Marketing and subsequently became Director of Operations three years later. Myriam was appointed General Manager of the Beau Rivage hotel in Nice, and has managed the elegant Montalembert Hotel in Paris for the past nine years.

"I’m thrilled that Myriam will be bringing her comprehensive experience and stellar reputation to the Coppola resorts,” said Francis Ford Coppola. “I first met Myriam in Paris, where she created the first five-star hotel on the Left Bank. She has long impressed me with her charm, finesse, and artful taste.”

The Family Coppola Resorts are a group of five luxury hotels nestled in intimate locales in Southern Italy, and Central and South America. Myriam will oversee daily operation of the facilities, increase brand awareness worldwide, and work closely with her team of general managers to continue to improve the company's internal operations. She will also be in charge of Sales and Marketing, working with Christine Gaudenzi, who handles domestic and International sales efforts, public relations messaging, and marketing campaigns.

Myriam will also lead development strategy for the hotel group and work to strengthen its expansion worldwide. "For me, the definition of luxury is the ability to offer a unique, impeccable experience,” she says. "I can’t imagine a more unique group of properties than the Family Coppola Resorts. I hope to continue discovering new corners of paradise and to invite our clientele to venture off the beaten path with us."
