Victoria Warehouse expands team with three new recruits

Jennifer Panton
Victoria Warehouse, a unique events space in the heart of Manchester, has appointed Kayleigh Brindle and Jennifer Panton as its new sales managers alongside Daniel Thorpe as venue operations manager following a successful year.
The venue’s latest recruits come with impressive events and sales backgrounds and will join Faye Millar, who set up the corporate sales function over the last three years and is now responsible for reactive sales management and strategy planning.

Panton has worked in the events industry for over ten years, and brings extensive experience including owning her own events business, specialising in the MICE sector, freelance wedding planning and more recently at De Vere Hotels, where she worked for three years before joining the team at Victoria Warehouse.

Following the completion of her Hospitality & Tourism Management degree, Brindle’s proactive sales career began at De Vere Whites Hotel and prior to her new Victoria Warehouse role she headed up the conference and incentive sales at Rocco Forte Hotels.

As sales managers, Panton and Brindle’s remit will see them manage the growing number of corporate enquiries and bookings to maximise sales, seek new business and work with the wider team to ensure the consistent growth of Victoria Warehouse as a whole.

Also joining the team is Daniel Thorpe, who will take on the role of venue operations manager following a number of years at Manchester United, most recently as conference and events manager. Thorpe has extensive catering and event knowledge developed throughout his ten years in the industry, having worked within hotels, sports, outside catering and events with brands such as P&O Cruises.

Victoria Warehouse has played host to the likes of the Manchester Science Festival; product launches for Audi, Toyota and GHD; and gala dinners for Manchester United and New Look.

Jennifer Panton commented on her new position: “After taking a break from the industry, I am thrilled to be working for such an innovative venue that has so much to offer. I look forward to using my experience to help Victoria Warehouse expand further.”

Kayleigh Brindle added, "I am delighted to be working for such an exciting events space and to take on a role at Victoria Warehouse where I can be integral to pushing the business forward.”

Thorpe echoed Brindles sentiment, commenting: “I’m thrilled to join Victoria Warehouse and be a part of the company’s exciting future. With the scale of events and expansion of the site as it breaks into the corporate market, it’s a fantastic time to be joining the team.”

James Cohen, owner of Victoria Warehouse said: “The expansion of our team is representative of our significant success in 2014 and will better prepare us for the year ahead. Both Kayleigh and Jen are well versed in corporate events, and come with an integral understanding of the industry, which I am confident will prove invaluable.”
