ATPI Group strengthens management teams for their UK and global operations

Leading global travel management and events business, the ATPI Group, has announced a number of new appointments to their management team. The new management structure will lead the company across nine key global regions and four commercial divisions following the acquisition of international travel company Griffin at the end of last year. Each of the new four commercial divisions will focus on the group’s key areas of operation and expertise: corporate, energy and shipping, global events and sports plus group auxiliary services.

Adam Knights, formerly group sales and marketing director, takes on the position of managing director for the combined ATPI and Griffin operation in the UK. Knights has been part of ATPI since 2002 and has played a key role in its expansion and reputation of the Group internationally.

Past experience of Knights also includes working with American Express and Trailfinders, and he was part of the team at Seaforths Travel, joining in 1998, that was the first acquisition for the group in 2002.  Reporting to chief executive officer Graham Ramsey, Knights will be responsible for leading all UK operations for both the ATPI and Griffin businesses.

It is an exciting time for our overall business, but particularly here in the UK.”

Former UK general manager Simon Bean is promoted to managing director of the TelMe division of the business. The role will include overall responsibility for the Group’s auxiliary products and services, including the Global Hotel Programme, Global Supplier Relations, Global Passport & Visa services, plus Third Party Technology Sales.

Ramsey continues: “Each commercial divisional head is an expert in their field of operation and each regional head will offer key insight and knowledge for their area of the world. I look forward to leading the newly enhanced management team and delivering the benefits of our global buying power to our clients across all regions and business sectors.”
