Tuxedo Money Solutions appoints Head of Relationship Management

Leading payment technology and prepaid card provider, Tuxedo Money Solutions, has appointed Rob Darby as Head of Relationship Management for its travel sector clients. Rob possesses over twenty years experience working within the travel, prepaid and currency sectors having previously worked for Airtours / MyTravel, Travelex and Access Prepaid, Mastercard.

Since returning to the UK and working for Travelex / Access Prepaid, Rob has developed and implemented multi-channel customer programmes in a variety of sectors including, travel retail, airlines, frequent buyer loyalty schemes, banking and government owned Post Offices across international markets.

Working closely with key account, STA Travel Rob has already overseen the implementation of the award winning STA ISIC prepaid travel card in Australia and Germany, with further global markets due to launch in 2015.

Tuxedo secured the deal with STA Travel after working closely with the student travel specialist to develop its STA ISIC (International Student Identity Card) Cashcard in June 2013. A UK first, the card is the only combined affinity and international ID / travel card on the market, designed for students and offering a prepaid cashcard, plus an internationally recognised student ID.

Since joining Tuxedo Rob has also worked closely with holiday providers Newmarket Holidays and Newcastle based Dawson and Sanderson, to launch Tuxedo’s Escape Travel Card, dveloped in conjunction with IDT Financial Services Limited. A new B2B2C currency card product on the MasterCard network, the Escape Travel Card has been developed to provide partners with a prepaid product that not only provides an ancillary revenue stream, but one that integrates seamlessly with existing business practices or processes with minimal disruption.

Rob started his career as an Overseas Holiday Representative for Airtours Holidays, quickly progressing to Regional Manager for Airtours / My Travel, before returning to the UK and securing a role as with Travelex and then as a Business Development Manager for Access Prepaid.
