The ICC is recognised as an industry leader in conference and banqueting catering due to its extensive experience and determination to push boundaries and pioneer restaurant quality food in a large scale in an event environment. In order to ensure that these standards are maintained and improved it is essential that there is a strong management team in place alongside the venue’s talented chefs.

Claire Smith, Conference & Banqueting Manager, has been part of the hospitality industry for many years having worked in hotels, bars and restaurants around the world gaining experience across a range of disciplines. Prior to joining Amadeus at the ICC, Claire worked at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole in event operations. I have a great team and my focus is on working with them to ensure that we exceed the expectations of clients and delegates alike.”

Ceri Davies, Conference & Banqueting Supervisor, previously worked for Amadeus at the Library of Birmingham as Team Leader and at the Genting Arena (formerly the LG Arena) helping to run the main public bar. Stephen says: “The first event I worked on was an event for Specsavers in Hall 3 – the biggest of all the halls at the ICC. It was amazing to be a part of such a prestigious event and to see the whole team pull together to make sure that everything ran smoothly on the night.  I knew then that this was the job for me.”

Harprit Singh Kainth, Conference & Banqueting Supervisor, previously spent eight years at the prestigious Collections Hotel in Birmingham and will use his experience to drive excellence in all areas of catering for Amadeus at the ICC. He says: “I am really looking forward to working with the talented team at the ICC to find new and innovative ways to deliver the best food and service.”

Our aim as a team is to offer an innovative approach to food and service, and to stay ahead of the market so we remain attractive to our clients in a competitive market.”

Martin Davies, General Manager for Amadeus at the ICC is delighted with the new appointments, he says: “Strengthening our catering team will not only ensure that we deliver consistently high standards at the ICC and continue to push boundaries here, but it will also stand us in good stead for the opening of the new Vox Conference Centre at Resorts World Birmingham later this year – a new offering to the market that will be managed by the experienced team at the ICC.”
