Stuttgart putting on a show at IMEX 2012
In Frankfurt, the ICS is promoting Stuttgart as a conference location in cooperation with the Convention Bureau of Stuttgart-Marketing GmbH and other partners. After last year’s success, the conference destination Stuttgart this year is presenting itself for the second time with its own stand at the world's most important trade fair for the meeting, event and incentive industry."Innovation meets tradition" is the motto under which the ICS International Congress Center Stuttgart, together with eight other regional partners, is showcasing Stuttgart as a conference location in compact form. At this year's IMEX, from 22 to 24 May, some 3,500 exhibitors from 157 countries and over 9,000 visitors—including 4,000 hosted buyers—are expected.
For the ICS Stuttgart, the timing of IMEX 2012 could hardly be any better. Just a few weeks ago, Messe Stuttgart noted top marks in the evaluation of its 2011 customer survey—a reference that means a lot combined with the excellent visitor data in 2012. "We are extremely confident in IMEX", says Stefan Lohnert, head of guest events at Messe Stuttgart. "One hundred percent customer satisfaction and a full house are arguments that help us hit the mark with our visitors."
It is, however, more than Stuttgart's benefits as an event location that the stand partners at IMEX 2012 wish to put into the right light. At least as relevant to international competition are the topics of sustainability, environmental awareness and the efficient use of resources—issues where the ICS Stuttgart is positioned at the forefront within the industry. That's why Messe Stuttgart takes full advantage of, among other things, highly efficient gas condensing boilers, intelligent heat recovery, excellent connections to public transport, as well as 34,000 square metres of solar collectors.
