New system to help IMEX Hosted Buyers to control emails from exhibitors

The Hosted Buyers scheme for IMEX 2012 will be further strengthened as a result of the successful inaugural IMEX America that was held in Las Vegas in October. Hyatt Hotels will be bringing their clients to the Frankfurt event for the first time, alongside a host of new US intermediaries as part of the Hosted Buyers scheme.

Furthermore, an increased number of Hosted Buyers are to attend from Central European countries as well as key long-haul markets such as Brazil and Asia. One advantage of registering as a Hosted Buyer is the amount of contact it gives buyers with suppliers and the number of invitations they receive. However, the downside can be handling the volume of emails. For that reason, the Frankfurt show’s organisers will use 2012 to test new ways of giving hosted buyers extra control over emails from exhibitors.

The proposed system will allow hosted buyers to have a unique IMEX inbox to aggregate all exhibitor messages into a single, daily email alert. This facility is to be fully tested among several buyer groups for the 2012 show, with the aim of rolling it out to all the following year.
