Recalling its reign as the hub of Miami Art Deco style in the 1950s, Canyon Ranch’s original, restored neon sign still takes pride of place outside the hotel. Housed in the completely renovated historic Carillon hotel, the exterior has been redesigned by one of Miami’s most famous architectural firms, Arquitectonica. Incorporating contemporary design elements whilst capturing the original personality of the building was a complex task, but the design has succeeded in producing a resort that combines the two in perfect harmony, whilst David Rockwell’s interiors throughout the hotel feature stunning floor-to-ceiling windows and simple lines that are in keeping with the holistic approach of the resort.
Offering a peaceful sanctuary on a pristine stretch of beach a stone’s throw from the bustle and energy of the festival, Canyon Ranch will operate complimentary transport for the short journey to the Art Basel site with state-of-the-art, luxury minicoaches equipped with white leather seats and televisions. The journey will take ten minutes and run continuously from 8am to 11am and from 5pm to 8pm for 4 days to ensure maximum comfort and efficiency for guests.
