2017 Master Innholders Conference explores the future of hospitality

The Master Innholders 24th Annual General Managers’ Conference titled The Next Generation. An Industry Revolution. will take place 16-17 January 2017 at the newly opened Hilton London Bankside.

Debbie Taylor FIH MI, Chairman of the Conference Committee and Regional General Manager at Macdonald Hotels, set out to design a conference that educated and inspired delegates on the future of the industry. Speakers at the two-day event will outline the year’s hottest trends to be aware of and the newest legislation to come into play, allowing hoteliers to start 2017 the right way. Peter Hancock FIH MI, Chief Executive, Pride of Britain Hotels is back by popular demand and will chair and share his witty expertise throughout the event.

Leo Johnson, Presenter of Radio 4’s FutureProofing will take to the stage as a keynote speaker and explain his theory of there being three possible cities of the future and how businesses can thrive within them.

Discussing the future of the hotel industry, keynote speaker Olga Polizzi, Deputy Chairman & Director of Design at Rocco Forte Hotels, will explore the many ways that hotels can adapt to survive the modern world without losing the art of traditional hospitality.

Dr Dorian Dugmore, Chief Executive of the Wellness Academy, will return to the conference for a second year to discuss the benefits of corporate wellness and how this can be integrated into the operations of a hotel.

Former Chairman of the Master Innholders and Managing Director of Red Carnation Hotels Jonathan Raggett FIH MI will chair a panel discussion that will stretch the boundaries of the industry and raise some topical issues for the industry.

Tiffany St James, Co-Founder of Transmute, is set to share her ideas and examples of techniques that are designed to inspire operators in the digital art of hotel social media and technology.

Ufi Ibrahim FIH, Chief Executive of the British Hospitality Association, will outline new legislation affecting the industry over the coming year and discuss the impact they may have on hotels.

Business consultant and motivational speaker, Nigel Risner will demonstrate to delegates how they can operate their businesses at peak performance whilst winning the hearts and minds of their teams.
