The five-star hotel has played host to the bi-annual sales event for over three years, as the Grand Ballroom creates the perfect location with its floor to ceiling windows and art covered walls.
They have also used the venue’s general conference areas, such as the foyer and meeting rooms, and the company have said they are delighted with the new interior.
Louisa Hopwood, Director of Marketing & PR at Thomas Sabo, said: “The new refurbishment has certainly refreshed the ballroom and the new, industrial feel is very fitting for the venue, yet gives a great blank canvas to create your own personal environment.” Running for two days, the event has approximately 85 people in attendance, making the hotel’s location ideal.
“We continuously use The Lowry Hotel as our venue due to its prime location in the heart of Manchester, coupled with its well sized, versatile meeting rooms and the ballroom that we are able to manipulate each season to fit our needs.”
The roadshow gathers Thomas Sabo clients from across the country and is an opportunity for the company to showcase their newest collection.
With three presentations a day, clients also spend time exploring the new season’s collection, which is displayed throughout the ballroom before individual one to one meetings to define their buy.
Retail training and seminars also take place, which are easily facilitated by the versatile environment. The day is split into three sessions – meaning clients either enjoy a bountiful buffet breakfast, a selection of lunch dishes or afternoon tea, which is all served in the foyer reception area.
“Many guests commented on the food this time, saying it was even better and tastier than before. The service was also fantastic but it’s always very good, from the welcoming reception and waiting staff through to management, nothing is ever too much trouble.”
Some members of the Thomas Sabo team also stay over, Louisa added: “Staying in the hotel itself is great for the team, the rooms are large, comfortable and have home comforts which is a big help when you are on a country tour and are exhausted at the end of a hectic day.
“The food in the hotel bar and restaurant is also very good so it’s easy to ‘stay in’ and unwind after a busy day.”
