Teams from across Redefine|BDL Hotels’ management portfolio have been hard at work raising cash for new charity partner Make-A-Wish® UK, and are well on their way to reaching their £50,000 pledge and granting approximately 12 children their individual wishes before the year’s end.
Dozens of hotels have participated in fundraising exercises since the partnership kicked off in January, with top fundraisers including the Erskine Bridge Hotel - where the team raised £3,839 (plus £272.50 Gift Aid) through a daring charity sky dive - and Bedford Swan Hotel, where team members took part in the London Marathon and helped raise £2477.76 (plus £465.25 Gift Aid).
The hotel management firm’s Glasgow and London offices have literally been going above and beyond for the special cause, with the central sales team tackling Mount Snowdon - raising £3,828 – and others even taking on the West Highland Way, raising £4,800 (both including Gift Aid).
Donations totalling more than £6,000 have also been generated from the sale of hotel rooms and meeting room bookings.

The company’s big-hearted employees have a fantastic fundraising track record, having raised a total of £62,258 during a three-year partnership with Macmillan Cancer Care, which came to an end in 2015.
The contribution was enough to pay for a Macmillan nurse for one year, plus additional services to help individuals affected by cancer and their families.
Make-A-Wish® UK is a charity which grants magical wishes to enrich the lives of children and young people fighting life-threatening conditions. Whilst the value of each child’s individual wish varies, the figure pledged by the company equates to approximately 12 individual wishes.
