Experience a global gourmet extravaganza this Autumn at Princesa Yaiza Suite Hotel Resort, Lanzarote

This autumn, guests at the Princesa Yaiza Suite Hotel Resort, Lanzarote, can experience the very finest food from around the world - without leaving their hotel. The luxurious property will play host to a series of ‘Gastronomy Days’ from September to November that will feature two world renowned chefs, including twice Michelin Starred Soenil Bahadoer. The chefs are set to delight guests with their exquisite set menus, designed exclusively for Princesa Yaiza. 

Home to eight different restaurants each offering a different international cuisine from Japanese and Mexican show-cooking to traditional Canarian specialities, Princesa Yaiza has long held a reputation as a gourmet leader in the Canary Islands.    

Michelin-starred Gastronomy – Lode de Roover and Soenil Bahadoer
The first guest chef to grace the hotel’s gourmet Isla do Lobos restaurant is ‘best chef in Belgium’, Lode de Roover. Lode has worked at some of the country’s top restaurants, including three-Michelin-starred Comme Chez Soi in Brussels, and is currently owner and head chef at Fleur de Lin in Zele. Guests can expect imaginative dishes with masterfully combined ingredients, flavours and textures from his bespoke set menu, available from the 29th of September to the 1st of October.   

From the 9th to the 11th November guests can sample the two-Michelin-starred chef Soenil Bahadoer’s dishes, a true feast for all the senses. Suriname-born and from a traditional Hindu background, he currently manages his De Lindehof restaurant in central Eindhoven. His cuisine is notable for a high dose of creativity, together with exotic influences and a deep understanding of the basic cookery techniques.  

Around the world in eight restaurants  
The hotel’s Japanese restaurant, Kampai, offers a truly immersive, entertaining dining experience, with authentic Japanese Teppanyaki cooked before guests’ eyes and delicious sushi and sashimi served fresh to order.  

More indecisive guests will be in their element at the hotel’s traditional Spanish offering, + Tapas, which serves a wide range of hot and cold tapas to suit every taste. Fine dining restaurant Isla de Lobos meanwhile serves traditional Spanish cuisine coupled with the application of new techniques and a Kilómetro Cero ethos, sourcing its food from local farmers and fishermen. 

Don Giovanni, Princesa Yaiza’s resident Italian Trattoria, treats guests to an abundance of family-favourite Italian specialities, from antipasti to homemade pasta and a wide range of mouth-watering pizzas. For Italian show-cooking, guests can wander over to the delightful La Piazzetta for a feast within authentic Italian surroundings.  

Also on offer is the fiery La Hacienda restaurant, where guests can savour Mexican dishes on the charming terrace. For a more relaxed vibe, International Restaurant Yaiza offers buffet style show-cooking for breakfast and dinner while pool-side El Chiringuita is perfect for a Canarian lunch or a light snack.

Rates for a Basic Superior Room at Princesa Yaiza start from €195 per night including a buffet breakfast, based on two people sharing.
