“Go For Gold” And Celebrate The Olympics At Topaz Bar And Bar Rouge In Washington, D.C
Topaz Bar, located in Kimpton Topaz Hotel, is rooting for Team USA this August as it hosts a special nightly “Go for Gold” Happy Hour during the Olympics, until 21st August 2016. The extended happy hour runs from 17:00pm to 20:00pm, when guests are invited to watch their favourite events, from swimming to gymnastics, on the 46-inch flat screen TV, whilst enjoying special offers from the bar. Topaz Bar has specials on draft beer, house wines and specialty cocktails in celebration of the games, but it is also offering discounts on bar snacks such as pretzels with beer cheese, turkey burgers, Topaz burgers and chicken wings. To really celebrate, fans can cheer even harder each day that Team USA wins a gold medal, since they are treated to an additional 10% off the bill.

Bar Rouge, located in Kimpton Rouge Hotel, is also celebrating the Olympics by adding the flavour of Rio to its bar menu during the Games. Known as Brazil’s national spirit, cachaça is made from fresh sugarcane juice that is fermented and distilled. Bar Rouge has adopted this spirit with its featured Olympics-inspired cocktail “Stick It”, created by bartender Naderia Wynn. The name refers to a successful landing in gymnastics, and the drink is a mix of Novo Fogo cachaça with green tea, strawberry, lime, and orgeat syrup.
