Set against the stunning backdrop of the Dolomites, the Cristallo Hotel Spa & Golf in Cortina d’Ampezzo is the only five-star hotel in the region and has a richly deserved reputation for luxury, for the outstanding facilities it offers – and also for the standard-setting quality of its cuisine.

Executive Chef Fabrizio Albini oversees four restaurants at the hotel, each with its own character and temptations. Guests can choose between gourmet dining, traditional dishes, a tasting menu and classic Italian dishes – and as part of a summer-long season celebrating the best cuisine the country has to offer, with a special “guest chef dinner” on Saturday 17th September.  

That evening Fabrizio will be joined by Salvatore Tassa from ‘Le Colline Ciociare’ in Acuto, Rome. Together they will present original recipes developed especially for the occasion – and served in one of the most beautiful mountain settings anywhere in Italy.  

The guest chef’s own restaurant was awarded a star in the Michelin guide for 2016, where inspectors said of him, “This chef is a veritable artist who introduces his diners to a whole new world.” They praised his “unlimited imagination – from local Ciociara traditions to bold, innovative creations.” It’s exactly this creativity the Cristallo’s guests will be able to expect when they sit down to dine with these two master chefs as their hosts on 17th September 2016.  

Rates start from €272 per night for two adults sharing in a double room including breakfast. The guest chef dinner experience costs only €65.00 per person (selected beverages included).
