Madinat Jumeirah named as one of the top three hotels in Africa and the Middle East

Madinat Jumeirah, the Arabian resort of Dubai
Madinat Jumeirah, the Arabian resort of Dubai, has earned the prestigious No. 3 ranking in the “Best City Hotels in Africa and the Middle East” category for Travel + Leisure’s 2016 World’s Best Awards survey: the highest ranked hotel outside of Africa. Sister property,Jumeirah at Etihad Towers in Abu Dhabi, earned the tenth highest place on the list.

For over 20 years, Travel + Leisure has enlisted their loyal readers to rate top hotels, destinations, airlines, cruises, spas and travel companies in the annual World’s Best Awards survey. Hotel rankings are based on readers’ ratings of these five characteristics: rooms/facilities, location, service, restaurants/food, and value.

This news comes in advance of Madinat Jumeirah’s newest hotel opening, Jumeirah Al Naseem, slated to debut before the end of the year. The opening will mark the completion of the resort and the final chapter in Jumeirah Group’s transformation of a stretch of Dubai’s coastline into a major touristic destination. Jumeirah Al Naseem will join the grand Jumeirah Al Qasr, the peaceful and recently renovated Jumeirah Mina A’Salam and the exquisite summerhouses of Jumeirah Dar Al Masyaf.

Set on a private beach, Madinat Jumeirah is an authentic recreation of ancient Arabia with facilities interconnected by 3km of waterways and landscaped gardens, capturing the natural beauty of the region. Beyond accommodations, Madinat Jumeirah features conference and banqueting facilities including two grand ballrooms, a 1000-seat amphitheatre and the region’s only dedicated entertainment centre and multi-purpose venue, Madinat Arena. The resort also provides extensive leisure and health facilities including Talise Spa and Talise Fitness, as well as Souk Madinat Jumeirah, a traditional retail and dining experience showcasing the best of Arabia.
