Staff at Five-star Mayfair hotel raise over £2,500 for industry charity Hospitality ActionThe team at five-star Mayfair hotel, DUKES LONDON, is proud to announce its participation in this year’s Vitality British 10K London Run in aid of Hospitality Action, which took place on 10th July, and for which they raised over £2,500.
The iconic London Run is staged on one of the world’s greatest road race routes, right through the heart of central London, and passing many of the capital’s truly world class historic landmarks – the perfect race for the DUKES team, whose hotel is a Mayfair landmark in itself. The DUKES team joined around 25,000 runners from across the UK and overseas with a whole range of charity and corporate teams raising millions of pounds for worthy causes.
The DUKES team chose a charity close to their hearts: Hospitality Action (HA), the hospitality industry’s charity that helps past and present workers of all ages who are in crisis. HA offers financial aid and information and also supports a youth guidance scheme, educating young people on alcohol and drugs. Managing Director of DUKES LONDON, Debrah Dhugga, is particularly passionate about this cause, as a previous mentor in the hospitality industry and a strong supporter of promoting young people from all backgrounds in the hospitality industry.
Dhugga, a keen runner herself who ran with the team, said “It’s not just the great team spirit of being involved that spurred us on, we all felt fantastic being able to raise funds to support others who are connected with our industry and a little less fortunate.”
