Grand Hotel Park, Gstaad launches the ‘Ultimate Luxury Fitness Retreat’ in partnership with Pop-Up Fitness

This September, Grand Hotel Park is offering fitness enthusiasts the chance to train in style and luxury, as they launch the exclusive Ultimate Luxury Fitness Retreat. Curated and led by renowned personal trainer and health expert, Olivia Cooney of Pop-Up Fitness, this bespoke four-day retreat will see the highest standard of fitness training combined with the pinnacle of alpine luxury, leaving guests feeling physically and mentally re-energised.

Those ready to take on the challenge can expect an exciting and demanding fitness programme created exclusively by Olivia that makes the most of Grand Hotel Park’s five-star facilities, picturesque setting and the restorative alpine air. To get the blood pumping and muscles working, the itinerary features activities such as mountain running, kettle bell and TRX training as well as ‘lengthening and strengthening’ and ‘core focus’ classes. Guests can also enjoy an excursion to the iconic ‘Peak Walk’. The first and only suspension bridge to connect two mountain peaks and stretching an impressive 107m in length, the Peak Walk offers visitors breathtaking views of the Matterhorn, Mont Blanc, the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau.    

To compliment the packed programme of daily exercises, guests can refuel on the specially tailored retreat menu - a careful collaboration between Olivia and Grand Hotel Park’s Executive Chef, Giuseppe Colella. Breakfast will see plenty of fresh fruit and protein-packed egg dishes and lunchtimes will feature light options of delicious salads and soups, ensuring guests can continue to train in the afternoon. The evening dinners will showcase the hotel’s exquisite food offering, with a four-course menu featuring dishes such as Sea Bass Tartar with Wakame Seaweed and Turbot filet on Zucchini Carpaccio and Sun Dried Tomatoes. Freshly prepared by Giuseppe each night, the menu has been designed exclusively for those participating in the retreat. Guests will also be given protein shakes and healthy snacks at specific intervals during the workshop to keep energy levels up.  

So guests leave feeling fully revitalised, the itinerary also includes plenty of time to indulge in the five-star facilities on offer at Grand Hotel Park. These include a ‘Pool and Refuel’ session, allowing for the benefits of the hotel’s Salt Pool to be enjoyed and the retreat also includes a complimentary Aromatherapy Associates Spa Treatment, carried out by the hotel’s expertly trained therapists. With a 1,000m² Spa, the Gstaad Indoor Golf Club that PGA Tour SimSurround, and the town of Gstaad to explore, there are plenty of additional activities to be discovered. To further relax, in the evenings guests will be able to enjoy a private movie screening in the Penthouse Suite before turning in for a peaceful night’s sleep in the luxuriously appointed ‘chalet-feel’ bedrooms.  

Grand Hotel Park is the epitome of luxury and was even a favourite of style icon, Audrey Hepburn, who often holidayed at the hotel. Throughout their stay, guests can expect VIP treatment at all times and every need will be taken care of from start to finish. On arrival to their room, guests will find a goodie bag containing an array of treats including; Pop-Up fitness products, vouchers for further spa treatments and a selection of indulgent hotel products, along with a personalised welcome pack that includes all details on the retreat. For those looking to arrive in comfort, there is a private jet landing strip and space to land a helicopter a short twenty-minute shuttle ride from the hotel at the Saanen airstrip.
