The New Forest’s newest meeting venue

The Barn at Burley Manor in The New Forest
Floor-to-ceiling brick chimneys, a beamed, vaulted roof, rustic oak tables; The Barn at Burley Manor in The New Forest isn’t the average corporate events facility Part of the £1.8 million re-imagining of Grade II listed Burley Manor as a restaurant and rooms, The Barn, like the Manor, likes to do things differently – especially when it comes to the food. And the location.

Inspirational views of the beautiful New Forest and the adjacent deer sanctuary come as standard, as does free Wi-Fi, an LCD projector and screen, flipchart and stationery box. To ensure that corporate events run smoothly, The Barn provides a dedicated events co-ordinator in the lead up, plus a host on the day, so that the delegates and their hosts can concentrate on business.

But unlike so many other venues, Burley Manor understands that the last thing delegates want to see is boring food and snacks, which is why morning and afternoon chef’s goodies – including sweet, savoury and healthy options – are supplied, along with unlimited tea and coffee, complete with hot chocolate sticks.

For lunch there’s a choice of fork or finger buffet, some of which will be cooked in Burley Manor’s wood-fired stone-bake oven.

Meeting organisers can choose from 11 eclectic dishes for the fork buffet; boeuf bourguignon or perhaps Cypriot chicken, sundried tomato, basil and feta, or, for the cold choices, classic poached salmon or roasted porchetta loin of Gloucestershire Old Spot pork with sage & tarragon. The puddings are just as exciting – rum and vanilla panacotta with seasonal berries; coconut and raspberry madeleines.

For the finger buffet think Mediterranean; focaccia bread, asparagus and parmesan reggiano tartlets, curry-roasted root vegetables with lime leaves, chorizo and morcilla brochettes, baked figs with goat’s cheese and Parma ham, with an assortment of patisserie for afters.

Overnight guests get even more – residential delegates receive all the above plus a two-course dinner in the dining room, preceded by a tapas feast, a night in one of Burley Manor’s luxurious boutique bedrooms, a delicious breakfast, complimentary newspaper and the use of the outdoor heated pool from June- September, plus a ten per cent discount on spa treatments (launching this September).

The Barn is spacious enough for up to 100 guests although Burley Manor is happy to host smaller gatherings.
