Able to accommodate up to 180 guests for a seated dinner or cocktail reception, the majestic scale and grandeur of the 1901 ballroom makes it the ideal space for a glittering event, whether it’s a private party or corporate function.
Named after the year the original hotel was completed, 1901 is imbued with beautiful character and a strong sense of history. Crowning the centre of the room is the building’s original stain glass dome, which survived the Blitz of the 1940s and provides the space with a captivating feature.
Whether hosting a corporate meeting, bar mitzvah, wedding, product launch or award ceremony, the venue can be transformed by the hotel’s dedicated events team for any occasion. The versatile space can be organised in a number of set-ups including; banquet, reception, dinner and dance, classroom, boardroom and theatre as well as a tailored option for bespoke events.
Menus can also be specially created to meet unique briefs and specifications, with everything from three course suppers, creative canapes, personalised themes, signature colours, unique cocktails and interactive live cooking stations available.
1901’s Head Chef Selva Muthusamy’s culinary philosophy is to let the freshest ingredients speak for themselves, incorporating traditional and contemporary styles to enhance flavour without overwhelming the unique and natural qualities of the produce. With a focus on sustainable and locally sourced ingredients, dishes can be tailored to each celebration reflecting various styles of cuisine.
Ideally situated in the heart of the City and the creative Shoreditch scene, the grand space is moments away from prime transport links and within walking distance of several underground and overground rail stations as well as sitting next door to London Liverpool Street station.
