Amante all set for the white island’s new season

Perched on a cliff overlooking the Sol d’en Serra bay, and surrounded by dramatic rocks and lush greenery, Amante is Ibiza's most beautiful rural restaurant and beach club.
Winner of Best Beach Restaurant in Ibiza for an amazing three consecutive years, and numbering the likes of Lionel Messi, Naomi Campbell and Kylie among its devotees, this tranquil retreat will opens its doors during the daytime from 15 April (11am to 7pm) and all day and evening from 13 May (11am to 1am.)

Opened in 2009 by David Piccioni, former international DJ and founder of the world renowned Azuli record label, Amante is all-encompassing venue.

Head to this rustic idyll for a late breakfast before catching some rays on a luxurious day bed on the lower terrace - each one taking advantage of the bay’s exceptional views - whilst chilled out Balearic beats instil a feeling of peace and harmony. Later on, revived by the odd Mediterranean Mojito or two, the more energised will cool off in the sparkling waters.

If you thought Amante was pretty special by day, just wait until the sun sets and it begins to morph into a magical dining destination. Soak up the unique atmosphere - and one of the expertly mixed cocktails - at the bar, surely the best located spot on the island. Then dine in the moonlit restaurant on a menu of modern Mediterranean with an Italian and Spanish twist, along with simple grilled fish and meat. Packed with flavour, these are dishes tailor-made for hot summer nights.

Amante’s striking contemporary design makes full use of locally sourced materials which blend in with the natural habitat; the hand-crafted slate flooring and furniture created from reclaimed wood harmonise perfectly with the Ibicenco brickwork.

More than simply a place to kick back, relax and indulge, Amante also offers guests early morning Hatha yoga classes and the services of an on-site masseuse. Also back by popular demand this season will be its open-air cinema programme. With floodlit rocks as the backdrop and the gentle, hypnotic sound of the sea part of the soundtrack, can there be a better way to watch a movie?

Offering the opportunity to escape the crowds and experience a very different side to Ibiza, a visit to Amante Beach Club is a must.
