Unique dining experiences and local flavours with Capella Marigot Bay Resort and Marina

Located on the sheltered west coast of Saint Lucia, Capella Marigot Bay Resort and Marina sits proudly on the hillside of Marigot Bay, a Caribbean icon surrounded by local rainforest and native wildlife. Thanks to unique dining experiences and local touches this luxury resort is the place to be for fantastic food and beverage experiences.

The Rum Cave: Guests will enjoy sampling some of the finest regional rums in the resort’s very own authentically designed Rum Cave. With native stone and wood design the setting is inspired by the Caribbean’s colonial era rum distilleries and makes for the most ideal setting to enjoy the essential island tipple.

Special rum tasting and blending sessions are available for novices and connoisseurs alike to expand their knowledge and enjoy the flavours in this intimate and sophisticated setting. Tucked neatly underneath the resort, this is a perfect place to enjoy appetisers and light bites from day to night. With live music most evening, guests will be hard pushed to tear themselves away from the Rum Cave.

Rum Infusing Tour: Guests seeking to learn more about the rum making process can enjoy a half day Rum Infusing tour with a local guide. Visitors will head to the bustling Castries Market to shop for indigenous spices before joining the experts at Saint Lucia Rum Distillery. After meeting the team of distillers and blenders to learn the history and secrets of rum making, guests return to the Rum Cave where the master infuser will assist in the creation of their very own infused bottle of rum.

Unique eateries: Food lovers will delight at the exquisite dining options available at the resort with emphasis on the freshest, locally sourced produce and inventive seasonal menus that fuse traditional Saint Lucian flavours with contemporary American and European influences.

The signature restaurant, The Grill at 14⁰61⁰, is located at the resort's highest point, offering breath-taking views of the Marina and bay. The swim-up Brut Bar is an ideal spot to enjoy tropical cocktails and a tantalising menu of local fruits, seafood and sushi dishes. Bayside Café, located on the water’s edge is a great location for a sundowner or two.

Private dining can be arranged under guests’ very own cabana and for those seeking something extra special the Tree House, tucked away under lush foliage, offers a fairy-tale setting for intimate dining.

Saint Lucian Sunday Farmers Market: Curated by Chef Boyle the new Sunday Farmer’s Market features the freshest local produce, handmade foods and arts and crafts. Visitors can soak up the smells of local spices, island fruit smoothies, delicious pastries and preserves.

Chocolate Heritage Month: August welcomes this chocolate celebration and as per previous years Capella Marigot Bay Resort & Marina will be offering thoughtfully-tailored experiences to celebrate the Island’s beloved offspring, chocolate. In previous years we have seen chocolate tasting packages and chocolate spa experiences!

St. Lucia Food and Rum Festival: October in St Lucia celebrates the very best in food, wine and of course, rum! The resort will be celebrating the Food and Rum Festival and a particularly highlight is set to be the Gala Dinner with wine and rum pairing – an event not to be missed!
