The Fish is all about comfort, friendly service, the great outdoors and a little touch of luxury. Think affordable, laid-back luxury. Where rooms start from just £89 per night*. Just because The Fish is more affordable though, it doesn’t mean it has compromised on style or comfort. Far from it.
The Fish is a clever design of reinvented buildings, right in the heart of the estate, all laid out in a village-style. The brilliant interiors are inspired by the estate’s Scandi owners and the hotel’s idyllic setting. A palate of calming neutral colours – greys, blues, greens and splashes of yellow – comfy beds dressed in super crisp linen and Scandinavian-look retro furniture.
Step outside and the surroundings are inspiring too. Wonderful views of rolling Cotswolds countryside and a 400-acre playground. From quad biking to Segway safaris, archery, clay pigeon shooting and golf at the Broadway Golf Club next door, there is a dedicated team to help organise an hour of fun or full day multi-activity itineraries. There are plenty of bracing walks too; it is just 30-minutes downhill stroll to the post-card pretty village of Broadway.
Having worked up an appetite, The Restaurant is welcome pit-stop. Executive Chef Jon Ingram and Head Chef Carl Holmes are a fantastic duo who have created a menu of surf and turf dishes that appeal to carnivores and seafood aficionados alike. This is a nod to the seventies with a modern twist. But the ethos is simple, a focus on quality and provenance, working with fridges not freezers. The spacious but cosy bar – with its crackling fire – serves Afternoon Tea featuring home-made recipes from The Fish team and drinks. It is a great rainy-day destination or evening entertainment hub with its pool area, darts board and large flatscreen TV.
