Tennis fans keen to improve their technique for the new season can do so under sunny skies this spring by heading to Sicily to take part in an exciting new, all-inclusive luxury tennis camp at Rocco Forte’s Verdura Resort.
Players of all ages and abilities have the chance to train and improve their skills at the top sports and lifestyle venue from May 14, with expert coaching provided by Karel Novacek – a former top-10 player in the world rankings.

The Czech Republic star, who climbed as high as number eight in the world in the 1990s, reached a US Open final and beat the likes of Pete Sampras, Boris Becker and Stefan Edberg in an impressive career.

Situated amongst a rich natural backdrop of rocky mountain ranges and Sicilian olive and orange groves, Verdura’s tennis academy features six outstanding floodlit clay courts and offers the perfect idyllic setting for a sporting break.

Guests can choose from a range of four and seven-night full-board packages at May’s camp, which include two 90-minute training sessions per day, and prices start from €940 per person (approx £723) for a four-night stay in a Deluxe Room.

In addition to receiving expert daily tuition from Novacek on all areas of the game, the attractive tennis breaks also give players the opportunity to enjoy Verdura’s wide array of other five-star facilities.

Daily breakfast, lunch and a three-course dinner (including soft drinks and coffee) are all included on a daily basis together with access to the resort’s award-winning five-star spa. All prices, which are based on two people sharing a room, also include VAT.

Nestling next to the Mediterranean in 230 hectares of stunning landscape, Verdura Resort – a Rocco Forte hotel – has quickly risen to become one of Europe’s elite contemporary, luxury sports and lifestyle destinations since opening in 2009.

Set on Sicily’s southern coast between Agrigento and the fishing city of Sciacca, an 80-minute drive from Trapani and Palermo airports, the resort features 203 rooms and suites – all with a sea view. As well as tennis, guests can enjoy numerous other sports and leisure facilities including two 18-hole championship golf courses and extensive practice amenities, an array of different watersports, a 60m two-tiered infinity pool, a 170sqm fully-equipped gym and an award-winning 4,000sqm spa complex.
