With £1m Refurbishment - Spa Upgrade and New ESPA Bamboo ExperienceIn 2016, the spa at the 5-star Culloden Estate & Spa celebrates 25 years and will form part of the hotel’s £1,000,000 refurbishment, also covering the Mitre restaurant and suites. Not only will guests be treated to a new designer nail bar and treatment rooms, but also an exclusive ESPA Bamboo Experience. Created by the hugely successful ESPA brand, guests will be treated to a full body treatment using bamboo sticks to massage, relax and rejuvenate.
Originally built as a Palace for the Bishops of Down, the Culloden Estate & Spa stands in 12 acres of secluded gardens and woodland overlooking Belfast Lough and the County Antrim coastline. The Spa at Culloden was one of Northern Ireland’s very first spas when it opened its doors in 1990 and was a ground-breaking concept when Sir William Hastings launched it at Northern Ireland’s premier 5-star hotel.
25 years later, the spa is Northern Ireland’s premier sanctuary for both body and mind, where guests can indulge in a range of ESPA products and therapies, eight treatment suites, two pre and post treatment relaxation rooms and a Health Club with pool, Jacuzzi and eucalyptus steam room. There is also a unique Medi Spa offering a range of treatments including Botox with the Rejuvenate Anti-Ageing Clinic, personalised health assessments incorporating cutting edge technology with innovative diagnostic testing to assess health in detail with Randox Health and the Room One Physiotherapy. The eight week refurbishment programme taking place in January will also unveil new treatment rooms and a brand new designer nail bar.
Spa Manager Rachel Crawford leads an incredible team of therapists with global experience extending as far as Australasia.
“The Spa and Beauty industry is where my heart lies, I’m delighted to be part of the team at the Culloden and extremely excited about the future of the Spa, Health Club and Medi Spa” said Rachel.
ESPA Warm Bamboo Experience
To celebrate 25 years of spa success, the hotel has introduced an exclusive one hour and 20 minute Warm Bamboo Experience created by the hugely successful ESPA brand. The experience includes a foot ritual, body exfoliation, facial cleanse, full body joint release incorporating stretching joint rotations, a full body massage using essential oils and bamboo sticks, concluded with a scalp massage.
The full body treatment using bamboo to massage assists in stretching, joint mobility and flexibility. Ideal for anyone in need of deep tension release and those who exercise regularly, this fast paced, free flowing and energetic treatment is perfect for slowing busy minds and elongating tight muscles, helping to soothe and reduce tension. £1m Refurbishments
As part of the hotel’s £1 million refurbishment, various aspects of the hotel have been upgraded. The new-look Mitre restaurant and refurbished bedrooms including the four original tower suites offer a new look for the hotel in 2016. The spa will begin being refurbished this month as part of the programme, including a new nail bar and treatment rooms.
Adrian McNally, General Manager of the Culloden Estate & Spa said: “We are delighted to unveil the results of our latest refurbishment which was an investment by Hastings Hotels in excess of £1,000,000. The refurbishment is part of the ongoing investment programme that we at Hastings Hotels pride ourselves on to ensure we make the most of our properties and our people as we continue to offer our guests a first class service every time.”
