HRS Corporate announces new partnership with MICE expert meetago

HRS – Global Hotel Solutions has announced a new partnership with MICE expert meetago. With a combined booking volume totalling €150 million, the partnership sees the two companies become the market leaders in the Meetings and Groups sector. 

HRS invested in meetago having seen a rapid change in booking behaviour in the Meetings and Groups segment in the last year. Offering enormous potential savings to customers, the partnership is a strategic move to offer standardised MICE and business travel processes, which are in high demand in the industry. As a result, the partnership will offer MICE procurement customers with access to all of the services along the value chain.  

Commenting on the new partnership, Tobias Ragge, CEO of HRS, said: “To date, only two per cent of the huge MICE market has been professionally developed, even though it generates a turnover of €70 billion per year.  

“Thanks to the new partnership with meetago, all processes have been amalgamated and now connect smoothly on the HRS portal – from strategic procurement to the transaction process and payment and accounting solutions.”  

Udo Lülsdorf, founder and CEO of meetago, added: “HRS’ extensive portfolio and global reach means we can guarantee a consistent standard of offers and RFP monitoring at a local market level. In addition to the savings gained by the simplification of the process, meeting organisers will benefit from transparent reporting across all booking activities in real time.  

“The process will be completely seamless with customers having access to all of this via the same portal they use for making hotel bookings, meaning they will not have to switch providers or systems.”  

The partnership will lead to simplified and more structured processes for both chain and independent hotels who can expect lower process costs as a result.  

What’s more, HRS and meetago ensure pre-defined and bundled information for the creation of offers. In particular, this will benefit independent hotels by offering access to big corporate customers for the first time.  

Many corporate customers such as Deutsche Bahn, ERGO and REWE are already using meetago.
