New build property will feature cutting edge facilities and technology for meetings and events

A new Holiday Inn with impressive meetings and events facilities is to open in a prime Manchester location in April 2016.  Holiday Inn Manchester City Centre is located next to Piccadilly Station, one of the country’s major transport hubs. The 298-room, 4-star hotel will feature Holiday Inn’s signature Open Lobby concept, high specification accommodation and 560 square feet of meetings and events space.

Holiday Inn Manchester City Centre will offer the very latest in conference facilities in a city that is a Northern hub for business meetings.   With its superb transport links and location in the heart of Manchester’s city centre, it is perfectly placed for business events.  

From board meetings and cocktail parties to business dinners and large conferences for 200, the hotel’s 12 meeting rooms will be the ideal setting for any event. The facilities will include an impressive terrace area and spacious breakout space as well as the latest state-of-the-art technology including Bose sound system, Barco ClickShare wireless presentation and super hi-speed Wi-Fi and integrated user friendly touch panels.    The hotel’s expert events team can create bespoke solutions to suit specific business needs.  

In homage to Manchester’s heritage the meeting rooms will be named after local music icons including Factory Records’ nightclub impresario and owner Tony Wilson, Stone Roses guitarist John Squires, pop music icon, Morrissey, the Gallagher brothers and Ian Curtis from Joy Division.  

Delegates will be able to enjoy Holiday Inn’s innovative and award-winning Food for Thought menu, which features tasty options designed to help delegates work smarter and longer.  From a yoghurt-based “shot” on arrival to a deconstructed salad station and afternoon fruit booster shot with a slice of cake, the eclectic menus are nutritionally balanced and infused with international flavours.  

From Standard and Executive rooms to top-of-the range suites, all of the hotel’s 298 guest rooms will be highly specified – featuring modern décor, air conditioning and complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi. Additionally all rooms will be equipped with refreshing power showers, DVD/CD players and 40 inch LCD Smart HD televisions with cable channels. Two suites are named after local sporting heroes; The George Best Suite celebrating the Manchester United legend along with Manchester City’s Colin Bell.  

A key focal point for the hotel will be Holiday Inn’s signature Open Lobby concept. The relaxed, flowing space combines reception, restaurant, lounge, business centre and Starbucks coffee shop, creating a flexible environment where guests can eat, drink, work, meet, relax, socialise and have fun.  In this multi-purpose area, guests can kick back, enjoy a coffee or bite to eat in a relaxed environment or catch up with some work using the high-speed Wi-Fi in comfortable, stylish surroundings.  

Meanwhile, 24-hour dining facilities will offer hotel guests the option to eat “what they like, when they like, where they like” as part of the hotel’s flexible approach to reflect 21st century lifestyles. From light bites to international favourites, the menu will offer a range of modern classic dishes typical of a Holiday Inn, while the Starbucks Café will offer high quality coffee served by trained baristas in a more informal environment or to take away to their room.  

Other hotel facilities include a state of the art gym, full service business centre and terrace area.
