Fictional worlds come to life at Aloft London Excel

London’s only hotel with direct access to Excel celebrates Super Comic Con

To celebrate the UK’s biggest and most exciting comic book event, Aloft London Excel has unveiled Fictional Worlds - a pop-up exhibition showcasing the works of three exciting local artists, Amrit Birdi, Nomattsland and Zoe Moss. From the 15 February to 20 March, visitors and Comic Book fans alike will have the chance to view the fantasy art exhibition and enjoy superhero-inspired food and drinks at Aloft London Excel.

Aloft London Excel is passionate and committed to providing a platform for great talent and emerging artists. This latest exhibition is curated by Caiger Contemporary Art and features original and limited edition pieces and prints by all three artists - London-based comic book illustrator Amrit Birdi, best known for his work on Vlogger Joe Sugg’s debut graphic novel Username: Evie; Zoe Moss, a photo-realist oil painter inspired by details and the concept of paint versus photography; as well as a selection of comic-con inspired works from award-winning illustrator and puppeteer Nomattsland.

In keeping with the comic book theme, Aloft London’s expert mixologists have also created a selection of superhero inspired cocktails and bar-bites, which will be available at the hotel’s W XYZ bar for guests and visitors to enjoy after a busy day at the show.

The Fictional Worlds art exhibition and superhero cocktails will be available from 15 February until 20 March. Over the Super Comic Con weekend (February 19-20) the hotel is also offering those dressed as their favourite comic book character a free cocktail! All of the artwork displayed will be available for purchase through Caiger Contemporary Art www.caigerart.com, with prices ranging from £150 to £1,495.
