Originally from the UK, word-renowned mixologist Grant Collins began his journey in the cocktail making industry in the US, consulting and adding his personal touches to menus at some of the top establishments in the country.
Grant then made his way around the globe, consulting for bars and restaurants throughout South East Asia, India, Europe, China and Japan, before finally settling in Australia and launching his barsolutons consultancy, assisting bar owners with cocktail creation and mixology, training staff and bar design.
Grant’s mixology expertise have been recognised with a number of prestigious awards and accolades throughout his career, including Australian Liquor Industry’s ‘Bar Manager of the Year’ in 2002 and 2003, along with Australian Liquor Industries ‘Best New Bar’ and ‘Cocktail Bar of the Year Award’.
Following a successful visit to Conrad Maldives Rangali Island in 2015, Grant will be returning to the resort in April and August of 2016 to continue working alongside resort staff on his fun and playful cocktails inspired by the lush, tropical surroundings of the Maldives.

Rangali Berry Sling
A refreshing cocktail created with berry lover’s in mind, guests can enjoy a heavanly Rangali Berry Sling cocktail, with splashes of rum, berry and cranberry juice and finishing with a sprinkle of sugar, crushed ice, and fresh mint leaves.
Cucumber and Jalapeno Margarita
Adding just the right amount of spice to a relaxing escape in the Maldives, the Cucumber and Jalapeno margarita promises to dazzle the senses, with perfect mix of Gold Tequila, Cointreau and Jalapeno Syrup, and finishing with a dash of egg white and a sprinkle of sea salt.
