Guests will be joined by ‘Class of 92’ Football legend Ryan Giggs for an extra special Q&A session and will also be tucking into a tasty British inspired menu, experiencing a great view of the stadium and raising funds to expand Springboard’s work in Manchester.
Manchester is a very exciting city with new business developments taking place leading to more job opportunities available, however, youth unemployment is still high with research from Office for National Statistics (ONS) showing that young people are nearly three times more likely to be unemployed than the rest of the population.
Springboard aims to relieve unemployment by working with Hotel Football and various organisations in Manchester to support young people and those facing barriers to work into sustainable jobs within the hospitality industry, which is the third biggest growth sector for jobs.
Suzanne Chilvers Head of Springboard North said “The fundraising dinner will highlight key achievements from the Charity’s work in Manchester through the Diageo Learning for Life programme in Runcorn, which saw 9 people gain skills and qualifications in bartending to help them secure employment, the Hotel Football programme which supported 15 unemployed young people looking to get back into work, Springboard’s FutureChef cooking initiative which inspired thousands of 12 – 16 year old students about careers as a chef and the KickStart programme which supported 26 school, college and university leavers in Manchester into work after education.”
The Charity is calling everyone to support their amazing achievements by coming along to the fundraising dinner held at Hotel Football – 28th January 2016.
